Documentary on Legos...
It is a short 20-30 mins, but really interesting. Loved Legos as a kid and it is amazing how much that brand has grown and they were actually almost no more at one point. If you and/or children are fans, definitely worth the watch.

Star Trek...
Yes, i did watch this...I actually was talked into it...as I really had absolutely no desire to watch this movie what-so-ever. Even in the beginning...I wasn't keeping an open mind...I definitely am not a "trekee" by far...but as the movie started getting going and I will admit...the soundtrack is decent...it actually turned out to be a pretty good movie. The cast was good...and for people such as myself who really have no clue what Star Trek is about...it does a good job of explaining everything. I really do have to recommend it if you haven't seen it.
Alice in Wonderland...
I've been wanting to see this movie for quite some time. I've never really been a bit Alice in Wonderland fan...however, I do like Tim Burton movies...and of course...Johnny Depp. My favorite part was the costumes...those were great. The movie was done well and and I really liked it. I know that wasn't necessarily the case with the critics...the only thing I would suggest is...an alternative name. This one makes me believe it is just another remake of the movie...not a sequel...which is more of what it is.

Exit Through the Gift Shop...
Absolutely a amazing documentary on street art (graffiti). So intriguing about how these arts have perfected their work as well as how they had to go about displaying it for the general public. The secrecy involved and the subtle competivness. IT also had a side story of the original videographer falling into his own art. If you are looking for something different, but entertaining in a new way...WATCH IT!
127 Hours...
I finally watched this movie. Wow...wow...to know it was based on a true story....wow. I can see how James Franco got nominated for an Oscar...his acting was great. There really isn't much to the movie, but a good movie it is. Will say it was a bit difficult to watch in parts, but I highly recommend it.
Young Victoria...
Now I will say, I am a huge fan of period pieces...so naturally, I am going to already be interested in this one. Thought the story was good...I didn't know much about Queen Victoria. If you are not into all that stuff...you probably won't like it. However, Emily Blunt, in my opinion, did a good job playing Queen Victoria. If you are a period piece geek...definitely watch it!
The Tourist...
Not a fan of Angelina Jolie...I do I love me some Johnny Depp. I had heard not so good things about the movie, but I don't always listen to the critics. My mom actually rented this and brought it over for me...so Free movie...duh! I did find it slow at first, but I didn't think it was as bad as everyone was saying. Would I tell you to run right out and rent it...no, but if you can't find anything else to rent...give it a shot.
Life As We Know It...
Not really knowing what to expect...I will admit I do like Katherine Heigl...I know some of you out there do not...but I was pleasantly surprised. Decent story line with some pretty funny parts. I really had to be careful when laughing or I would have opened my incision back up. Definitely not something you have to pay close attention too, but entertaining to say the least. Worth the effort of renting.
The Switch...
Invictus...
I've been wanting to watch this movie for quite some time now. We had started it later at night and was falling asleep...however, I wouldn't give up. I put it back in the next day and focused. I thought it was great! Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman did an amazing job portraying their characters. Well done...definitely need to watch.

The Town...
The Fighter...
In order to do this movie its proper justice...first I should have written about it when it was fresh versus multiple weeks later...and 2nd...not be sick while watching. From what I saw...it is a great movie...well done on so many levels. Definitely an Oscar worthy nomination for best movie as well as various actor/actress ones. A moive you should definitely watch...and if you so ir before the Oscars...bonus.

Piranha...
The Kids Are Alright...
I don't know...I feel like I have seen this type of movie before...married couple...married couple with children...children seek out biological dad...biological dad comes into picture and stirs the pot...adultry...crossing the line of inappropriate adult/teen behavior...etc...except this one involves a lesbian couple and a sperm donor. I don't know...I didn't hate it...liked the perspective and appreciate the art behind it...but I didn't love it either...Best Picture Nomination...I think there are others that are better.
Toy Story 3...
I have followed the whole saga of the Toy Story's...This is a nice conclusion...I believe it's an ending...super cute! Even brought slight tears to the eyes in the end...If you have watched the first 2...you should see this one! However, nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture...I don't know...best animated however...yes.

Pirate Radio...
I wasn't really sure what to expect from this movie. I remember seeing a preview and thinking it was worth watching. I also remember seeing the poster for it at the theatre...but then never really hearing much about it. I thought it was pretty great...music was wonderful and it had a bit of history to it. Basically, when rock music wasn't as popular and not allowed to be played on the radio...these guys took it to the water...in the same fashion gambling is taken to the water. If you are a music buff...rent it. If you aren't...rent it anyways...

Inception...
Wow...wow...a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream...wow. A very intruging concept and a movie that keeps you watching once you get hooked. Ellen Paige...awesome, and seriously, can you go wrong with Leo?? A movie definitely worth watching and make sure you can sit still and pay attention...things happen fast...especially the higher the level of dreaming....
Black Swan...
However crazy this movie is...it is worth 4 turtles. Psycho-thriller would be my classification and I am not sure what the actual classification is to even say if I just "copied" that...but that is how it seemed. Still trying to figure out a couple aspects of the movie. I walked out of the theatre thinking... "huh". Natalie and Mila did an amazing job...dark, very dark movie. You'll either really like it or hate it...or rate it 4 sea turtles because you are not sure of which it really is, but can appreciate the artist aspect to it.

Love and Other Drugs...
I would say I liked the movie...do you need to see it in the theater...probably not. Definitely had a lot of funny parts. Jake Gyllenhaal did a great job...as to why he is dating Taylor Swift...that is another conversation in itself. Anne Hathoway...awesome. Had a bit of a serious side to it that I wasn't expecting...but good.

Burlesque...
It wasn't just another episode of Moulin Rouge...which I really like. Great dance scenes, great music, not overpowering...even the underly story wasn't bad. Christina Aguilera did a good job acting and an amazing job singing. Even Cher wasn't annoying. Kristen Bell had a smaller part, but good. Couple of great male actors you would recognize as well. One of my favs was also in Devil Wears Prada. Big screen...yeppers...definitely...and gentlemen...you could earn yourselves some brownie points by going...and I don't think you will be disappointed with the eye candy.

Social Network...
I thought it was a pretty good movie...it kept my attention the whole time and it was pretty interesting to see how Facebook actually came about...not sure how many facts were actually true...but still interesting never the less...Mark is an ass...or atleast was portrayed as one...maybe you have to be to make billions of dollars...don't know.
MacGruber...
Because I can't remember how I created my turtle ratings...I can't come up with a half a turtle...so it is lucky it is getting a 1. Quite possibly the dumbest movie I have seen. Didn't even watch it all and wasn't because I fell asleep...I just turned it off...not even worth the $1 I paid for it...boo.

Get Him to the Greek...
I think I had higher hopes for this one than it actually turned out...or maybe I was just really tired...but didn't think it was that funny. Now before all of you start booing...there were many funny parts...but that's it... just parts...I found myself a bit bored...and yes, at the end...fell asleep.

The Killer Inside of Me...
Crazy movie...still a little disturbed by it. For those out there who like Jessica Alba...and yes, I realize..."duh, who doesn't"...you get a see a fair amount of her. Casey Affleck's character was the disturbing one...interesting movie...definitely won't watch it again...dark and depressing...but if you are looking for that...or Jessica Alba...or something different...go for it...I would be interested on your take...
She's Outta My League...
Max Payne...
Grown-ups...
You know...when you are watching the previews to a movie...laughing...and then you think...I wonder if this going to be one of those movies where they show all the funny parts in the preview...well...it pretty much was...not completely, but a lot. However, with a cast like that...you really can't go wrong...saw it in the dollar theatre...it was worth my dollar or two...
Despicable Me...

Funny People...
Not going to lie...I fell asleep, but there really wasn't much worth staying awake for. From what I understand, the rest of the movie wasn't any better than the half I watched. Definitely wasn't funny at all! As a huge fan of Adam Sandler, extremely disappointed!!! If I had a half a turtle rating...I would use it...quite frankly, I don't feel like making one for it.

Greenberg...
Oh my...standing at the redbox...not much in...Ben Stiller...Super Funny or something like that staring at me...I think...ok...looks like it got some decent reviews...which I don't always pay attention to, but looked interesting...well...not funny at all...seriously hard to sit through and force myself to finish...depressing like none other...only saving grace...a mildly random sex scene...drew your attention for a few seconds...I don't have a rating lower than 1 and I am to lazy to create one right now...

Kick Ass...
Well....where to start...I wanted to fall asleep after the 1st half hour...and yes, I gave it a good half hour before I even said anything. However, I was a bit surprised as it went on...it got better. There were a couple 'kick ass' parts, but I was more entertained by the 11 year old character than anthing else. Hence the 2.5 turtle rating rather than a 1... I don't know...sure watch it (rent it at the redbox for a $1...nothing more)...but if it's late and you fall asleep...no biggie.

Did You Hear About the Morgans...
Not a big Sarah Jessica Parker fan...and I do like Hugh Grant, but most of his movies are the same...which it was. He has some great witty lines...she played annoying girl...the supporting characters were more exciting...worth watching...but if something else interests you...go for that one...this one will always be there...
