Love and Other Drugs...

I would say I liked the movie...do you need to see it in the theater...probably not. Definitely had a lot of funny parts. Jake Gyllenhaal did a great job...as to why he is dating Taylor Swift...that is another conversation in itself. Anne Hathoway...awesome. Had a bit of a serious side to it that I wasn't expecting...but good.

Burlesque...

It wasn't just another episode of Moulin Rouge...which I really like. Great dance scenes, great music, not overpowering...even the underly story wasn't bad. Christina Aguilera did a good job acting and an amazing job singing. Even Cher wasn't annoying. Kristen Bell had a smaller part, but good. Couple of great male actors you would recognize as well. One of my favs was also in Devil Wears Prada. Big screen...yeppers...definitely...and gentlemen...you could earn yourselves some brownie points by going...and I don't think you will be disappointed with the eye candy.

Charlie St. Cloud...

Eh...it was what it was... predictable story...decent to watch, but didn't love it...

Social Network...

I thought it was a pretty good movie...it kept my attention the whole time and it was pretty interesting to see how Facebook actually came about...not sure how many facts were actually true...but still interesting never the less...Mark is an ass...or atleast was portrayed as one...maybe you have to be to make billions of dollars...don't know.

MacGruber...

Because I can't remember how I created my turtle ratings...I can't come up with a half a turtle...so it is lucky it is getting a 1. Quite possibly the dumbest movie I have seen. Didn't even watch it all and wasn't because I fell asleep...I just turned it off...not even worth the $1 I paid for it...boo.

Get Him to the Greek...

I think I had higher hopes for this one than it actually turned out...or maybe I was just really tired...but didn't think it was that funny. Now before all of you start booing...there were many funny parts...but that's it... just parts...I found myself a bit bored...and yes, at the end...fell asleep.

The Killer Inside of Me...

Crazy movie...still a little disturbed by it. For those out there who like Jessica Alba...and yes, I realize..."duh, who doesn't"...you get a see a fair amount of her. Casey Affleck's character was the disturbing one...interesting movie...definitely won't watch it again...dark and depressing...but if you are looking for that...or Jessica Alba...or something different...go for it...I would be interested on your take...

She's Outta My League...

It was a recommendation from a new friend this summer...I finally rented it...it wasn't too bad...liked it...would probably watch it again...good recommendation...thanks!

Max Payne...

Well...I gave it the 1.5 turtle rating just because I believe it had potential to be good...but I wouldn't know as I fell asleep...however, it is not getting more than that as I don't really have any interest to rent it again to see if it got better...

Grown-ups...

You know...when you are watching the previews to a movie...laughing...and then you think...I wonder if this going to be one of those movies where they show all the funny parts in the preview...well...it pretty much was...not completely, but a lot. However, with a cast like that...you really can't go wrong...saw it in the dollar theatre...it was worth my dollar or two...

Despicable Me...

It was a cute movie...not my favorite animated movie, but worth watching. Had some cute parts like most do...probably not going to buy it...but if someone wanted to watch it...I could see it again.

Funny People...

Not going to lie...I fell asleep, but there really wasn't much worth staying awake for. From what I understand, the rest of the movie wasn't any better than the half I watched. Definitely wasn't funny at all! As a huge fan of Adam Sandler, extremely disappointed!!! If I had a half a turtle rating...I would use it...quite frankly, I don't feel like making one for it.

Diary of a Whimpy Kid...

Actually, it is a pretty decent movie if you are a 13 year old. As a middle school teacher, would show it to my students...however, as an adult wanting to be entertained for an hour or two...ehh...wasn't all that impressed. If you want something to watch with your kids...absolutely!

Green Zone...

Well...for a war movie...interesting information...well done...just can't get into them sometimes. Was a bit slow in parts as well as repetitive...but ok...worth watching...however, you have to pay attention.

UP...

Love it!!! Squirrel... One of my new favoriate animated movies. Balloons, dogs, cutie little kid, grouchy old man, love story...Squirrel. Can't go wrong...if you haven't seen it....go get it now!

Greenberg...

Oh my...standing at the redbox...not much in...Ben Stiller...Super Funny or something like that staring at me...I think...ok...looks like it got some decent reviews...which I don't always pay attention to, but looked interesting...well...not funny at all...seriously hard to sit through and force myself to finish...depressing like none other...only saving grace...a mildly random sex scene...drew your attention for a few seconds...I don't have a rating lower than 1 and I am to lazy to create one right now...

Kick Ass...

Well....where to start...I wanted to fall asleep after the 1st half hour...and yes, I gave it a good half hour before I even said anything. However, I was a bit surprised as it went on...it got better. There were a couple 'kick ass' parts, but I was more entertained by the 11 year old character than anthing else. Hence the 2.5 turtle rating rather than a 1... I don't know...sure watch it (rent it at the redbox for a $1...nothing more)...but if it's late and you fall asleep...no biggie.

Crazy Heart...

Absolutely an amazing movie...Jeff Bridges and Maggie Gyllenhaal were spectacular. Definitely can see why Academy Awards were won! Don't miss out! I don't give 5 sea turtle ratings often!

Shrek Forever After...

Well, I liked the first one...and then...not so much. I will say this one was definitely better than the last one. It is fairly entertaining and worth watching...especially for the kiddos.

Dear John...

If you are not a Nicholas Sparks fan or did not like The Notebook...stop reading right now...if you are...go rent this one. Seen a fair amount of Nicholas Sparks movies and this one is up there. Tear jerker...good story, well done. If you haven't seen it yet, it's a shame!

When In Rome...

This movie just proves...just because you are cute, and that goes for both guys and gals...doesn't necessarily guarentee you can produce a good movie. I am not sure I can say it was even worth the $1 I paid to rent it. Nope, I can't...don't waste your time.

Youth In Revolt...

I had higher hopes for the movie. It had it's moments, wasn't overly bad, but in parts...it was a bit annoying. Worth watching...sure...have a drink while doing so!

Valentine's Day...

I knew it was going to be cheesy, but I really can't say I liked it all that much. Not a big Jennifer Garner fan...tried to give her the benefit of the doubt...yah, no.

Iron Man 2...

Once again I waited entirely too long to update the blog...boo...but I do remember liking this movie. I don't think the sequels are quite as good as the first one, but this one was pretty good. Definitely worth watching and if you got to watch it in the theater...even better!

Couples Retreat...

Pretty much what I expected...some really great scenes that were shown in the preview...but there were a few more...Vince Vaughn...funny as usual. Yoga scene...hilarious...a fun movie you can have a good laugh at...

Inglorious Bastards...

Crazy movie with some hard to watch scenes...walked away liking it though. Definitely have to be in the right mood to see it, but totally worth it!

Did You Hear About the Morgans...

Not a big Sarah Jessica Parker fan...and I do like Hugh Grant, but most of his movies are the same...which it was. He has some great witty lines...she played annoying girl...the supporting characters were more exciting...worth watching...but if something else interests you...go for that one...this one will always be there...

The Watchmen...

Let's just say...I did not pick this one out. It started out interesting...then totally lost me...still don't really know what it was supposed to really be about. Maybe I was just tired and didn't give it a chance...but I don't think so...

Men Who Stare At Goats...

Boy do I need to do these right after I watch them...watched this one so long ago...I do remember it being interesting...lost a bit of my interest at times, but others...it was great. Recommend it, but wouldn't run right out to get it...

Precious...

Seriously a great movie...I didn't hear too much about it until the Oscar buzz...so of course, I had to watch it. Some parts were extremely hard to watch, especially since it was based on a true story. Just goes to show determination and inner strength can help you achieve and overcome anything...if you want it to...
