Helvetica...

As my first film of the 2008 TC Film Festival, I saw great documentary about the typeface Helvetica and its origins. I liked the perspectives of all the designers from all over the world. For those of you who are designers, interested in design, or just want to see a good documentary, I highly recommend it. It was also surprisingly comical and for those of you worried it won't keep your attention, it will.

Live and Let Die...

The next Bond movie in the series. I really liked this one. I would have to put it up in my top three....(still hasn't beat number 1 though). I am not usually impressed with the girls in the movie, but I liked Solitaire ( a very young Jane Seymour). A good Bond to catch if you haven't seen it.

The Dark Knight...

I know there was a lot of hype about Heath Ledger and the movie, but the guy was amazing. I found myself wanting more Joker. I thought Aaron Eckhart did a good job as Two Face as well. Morgan Freeman and Michael Cain were just as great...I could name them all. The one thing I didn't really care for was Christian Bale's Batman voice...it bothered me...not sure why. Definitely recommend seeing it...I even want to see it again...

Get Smart...

Although I am a fan of Steve Carrell...I didn't really care for this movie. I didn't watch the show as a kid, so maybe that had something to do with it. It didn't really keep my attention and I found myself getting annoyed with Carrell.

10,000 BC...

Let's just say, not one of my favorites...I really tried to pay attention, but I had a hard time doing so...maybe I should try watching it again...however, it won't be anytime soon.

Definitely, Maybe...

Ryan Reyonlds did a good job of telling the story of how he met his daughter's mother, even though they are going through a divorce. An interesting tale of how many different roads life can lead us down and how you never know who you're going to meet or what you'll experience along the way. Who knows, maybe you'll walk that road again later in life.

The Bucket List...

A film about life in a different perspective. Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson did an amazing job. A wonderful friendship between these two which started later in life. I would also have to say inspiring, too.

Fool's Gold...

A cute movie starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey. Actually a good showing for McConaughey. It was entertaining and had some good humor in it. If you have some time and just want something you don't have to think about and be semi-entertained... go for it.
