The Martian Child...

It is an incredibly cute and sweet movie...I like John and Joan Cusack and they play their typical characters...

Love in the Time of Cholera...

A love story as the title gives away, but one of many different paths. A love at first sight that never leaves a man and a woman forced to repress such feelings. The man trying to forget her sleeps with as many women as he can as she lives her life with another man all the while cherishing the small pleasures he has when he sees her. However, all is not lost and something can be said for love in later years of life, especially one that has never been forgotten. The woman put it plainly when finally she allows herself to be with him, "I have lived happily even with such petty squabbles and anger, but was it true love?"

The Good Night...

I picked this one out because it sounded okay and it had Gwenyth Paltrow in it. I think I watched about 1/2 to 3/4 and was incredibly bored. I really tried to watch the rest of it, but I ended up turning it off. Maybe someone else has a different perspective, but I just didn't get into it.

The Good Shepard...

I knew the movie was going to be good, but wow, it was amazing. You literally can not get up or you are going to miss something. It keeps you in suspense right to the very end. Matt Damon was great!

P.S. I Love You...

I knew this was going to be a sappy girl movie, but I really had no idea just how sad it actually was. It was a great story of greaving portrayed in a way you don't see often. It isn't your typical Hilary Swank movie, and I am not a Kathy Bates fan...but I will say they were decent. Not to meantion some amazing shots of Ireland and great music throughout the movie...

The Savages...

An amazing movie about real life pressures, emotions, and frustrations when it comes to caring for your parents during their aging years. Philip Seymour Hoffman did a wonderful job and Laura Linney was right there too. I will admit it is depressing at times, but it also has some uplifting moments too. Great and realistic relationship between their brother and sister as they work through the process together while trying to life their own lives. Even the dad had a couple of significant scenes...

27 Dresses...

Naturally something that would attract my attention. A cute, feel good movie with some absolutely ridiculous bridesmaid dresses...also, I like Judy Greer and the character she played was hilarious...

Diamonds Are Forever...

As a Bond fan, I was disappointed with this one...especially following On Her Majesty Secret Service (which is my favorite)...Bond got beat up more than usually...not as many Q tricks and gadgets and cheesy fights and scenes...i am hoping the next one is better.

Margot At the Wedding...

I never really figured out what the whole storyline was...it was rather depressing and the acting wasn't much better either...I felt bad for the kids more than anything else...I should have just read my book instead...

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story...

I am going to admit, I didn't watch all of it...I walked in on the last half hour and I don't really think I needed to see the rest...if I am really bored...maybe I will think about it....

August Rush...

a music oriented film where all the characters seem to be in search of something they lost or gave up...a little chessy in parts, but I thought the little boy did a wonderful job and the music was wonderful...the pipe organ is amazing....and the story is sweet...
