Blind Side...

What an amazing story about a truly wonderful family. Sandra Bullock's character just made me laugh and smile the whole way through...I would love to meet Leigh Anne in person...she seems like a great woman and the whole family as well. It reminds you that there are still good people out there...you just don't always hear about them.

Sherlock Holmes...

I really liked it...from beginning to end...Robert Downy...awesome...Judd Law...awesome...Rachel McAdams...awesome...and a couple others that I forget...awesome. Guy Richie's dry British humor...awesome...effects...awesome...I just love mysteries and everything that goes along with them. Did I mention...awesome? Even the credits at the end...awesome!

Paris, Je T'aime...

I had no idea this movie came out in 2006...18 five minute senarios of love found in the city of Paris. Many different actors portray pretty much every possible way a person might find love. Definitely worth watching...something different and refreshing...

Henry Poole Is Here...

I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into with this one...but it had Luke Wilson in it...and I like him...so I thought I would take a chance. Definitely a depressing movie..at least 75% of it is...filled with heartache and pain. However, it also is filled with hope, faith, and love...which helps you remember the power some people have on you that ultimately change your outlook on life...

Julie and Julia...

First off...I have to say that I love movies based on a true story. Seriously, a great...great movie about life, love, passion and endurance. I wish I could finish everything that I start. The actors...Meryl Streep and Amy Adams...amazing as always...and the gentlemen supporters...Awesome! Plus, you can't go wrong with French cooking...I learned that about 3 years ago working for some amazing people and learned a lot about French cooking, wine and culture...and yes, butter is a must! It helps that I fascinated by France, too...and anything to do with it. If you are remotely interested in anything of the above...I really don't know what you are waiting for..and for that matter...not sure why I waited this long to watch it. Get off your booty and go get it!

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen...

As one who used to watch the cartoon as a kid...of course I am going to watch this one...especially since the first was sweet! Absolutely love the transformation sounds...my favorite part. The fight scene was cool and the soundtrack is pretty good, too. I will also admit...I can see why you gentlemen like Megan Fox is hot...although fake...in more ways than one...but will give this one to you...did I mention fake? You'll like it...go rent it!

Paranormal Activity...

I am going to qualify this right away...I am not a big fan of scary movies. I really never have been. I heard this one was more of a ghost movie and it was different...so I decided to watch it. It reminded me of the Blair Witch Project...but better. I was scared in parts...while annoyed in others. I guess if you are a scary movie watcher...it is good...and should probably not take my advice.

The Ugly Truth...

Seriously....ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!! That's all that needs to be said...maybe because I have the same personality...ok...not the same...as Katherine Heigl...but similar...and the guys that I seem to be attracted to are similar to Gerard Butler...I like a guy that will call me out on stuff...which..by the way...is HOT!! LOVE IT!!! The spontaneity...the unknown atttraction...did I say spontaneity? LOVE IT!!!

Management...

As a Jennifer Aniston fan...of course I an going to watch this movie. It actually was rather good...wierd in parts...kind of cringed in other parts...as it was painful what was going on...but also...rather sweet in others. Didn't really know what to expect, but totally recommend watching it!!

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past...

Becoming more of a Matthew McConaughey fan...and Jennifer Garner's...was one of her better roles...she didn't annoy me. Basically a movie about a player that saw the light...and came around thanks to Hollywood...because that is how it normal works...no I'm not bitter... :) ...just a bit unrealistic for me...but I knew that going into it. Cutie for sure...and entertaining.

Nanny Diaries...

I didn't really know what to expect with this movie...just heard it was cutie...and it was. Scarlett Johansson did a good job...and it had a cutie ending. If you want to see see a good story for a few hours...go for it.

Love Happens...

While I love Jennifer Aniston and Aaron Eckhart...and I did like the movie...I thought there was a little something missing. It was also more sad than funny...maybe that had something to do with it. I did however, love certain playful things they did for/to each other throughout the movie...it proved what I always like to say..."it's the little things that matter". Go to the theatre to see it...probably don't need to...but definitely rent it!

My Kid Could Paint That...

A great documentary of a young girl...4 YEARS OLD...who fell into making modern art...AMAZING paintings!! Love it...many questions were brought up about the family and the quality of her paintings...craziness...and they are going for thousands of dollars...this girl already has made $300,000..yes, I have the number of zeros right...by the time she turned 5...checker out!

Earth...

Seriously...a BEAUTIFUL movie...done by Disney...yes, it is educational...and being the science teacher I am...a great film to show your class...and I did!! The kids loved it...so many great scenes, senarios, and overall cinematography!! James Earl Jones is also the narrarator...so you can't go wrong...HIGHLY recommend checking it out...and you just might learn something too!

State of Play...

Not a bad movie...by far...but feel like...been there, done that...Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck, and Amy Adams...yes another Amy Adams movie...all did a great job...but it just seemed like a typical Hollywood movie. It kept my attention and whatnot...but if I didn't see it...really wouldn't miss anything...but if you are just looking for a decent movie...it will keep your attention.

Sunshine Cleaning...

An absolutely GREAT movie that is rather realistic...to a certain extent! Love Amy Adams and Emily Blunt...just a great story about the struggles in life and how things can change so quickly...not only for the good, but the bad too! Also...how everyone has family that is helpful, strange, frustrating and loving all at the same time...you want to watvh this one!

Vernon, Florida...

I love when someone recommends movies to me...this is one...definitely dry humor, which I love! It reminds me a bit of Best of Show and movies along those lines...I wish I was more of a hunter/fisher type person to appreciate it in full...but if you are looking for something a bit off the wall, yet entertaining in a wierd/uncomfortable kind of way...this is all you need!

Gran Torino...

What a great movie...A lot of racial slurs...some I didn't even know they were...nor have I heard of them...Clint...great as always...highly recommend watching it!!

Public Enemies...

Holy Cow...Hottie Depp...that is all you need to know...and yes, the movie is amazing too! Johnny Depp did a great job and wow...what a story...Definitely go and watch this one!

The Hangover...

Oh my god...seriously...wow...wow...all the schnanigans...wow...definitely entertaining and semi suspenseful at the same time...funny...

The Proposal...

Seriously...how could you not love Ryan Reynolds...he is a cutie...and Sandra Bullock...what an adorable movie with many sweet parts and laughs...definitely one to watch...in the theatres...i don't know...it's not a waste of money, but not necessarily needed...

Australia...

I have rented this movie many a times and have paid many a late fees...i never got to watch the whole thing. I just rented it yet again, just to find out...I actually did watch it all at one point. I know I liked it, but I can't say it overly moved me as I didn't even know I finished it...I would recommend watching it all at once!

FLING*...

Wasn't sure what I was getting myself into with this one...but it intriguied me...I will now think twice about an open relationship...not to say I haven't ruled it out...but it does make me think a bit more about it...thought it was a great film and would recommend it to all those that think outside the box...even those that don't...

New in Town...

a cutie romantic comedy....one of those that you don't have to think about much...little slow at first...if you are just looking for something entertaining...that is it and Harry Connick Jr...looks pretty good as a scruffy Minnesotian...if that is even a word.

Revolutionary Road...

So...I really need to do these soon after i watch them...I had some people tell me it was an amazing film and some say it wasn't that great....so of course intrigued...I have to admit I watched it in parts, but found myself liking it...maybe because I could relate to Kate Winslet's character a bit and tend to think outside the norm...might have to watch again...

A Good Year...

I am going to be honest...wasn't all that excited about watching this one...not a big Russel Crowe fan...and didn't realize it took place mainly in France, which I love...seriously great movie...love story, but in a more realistic way...or maybe it just gives me hope that it is possible to have my fairytale dream...and if I get to move to Europe, bonus!!

The Poker Club...

Definitely not what I expected...much darker...good suspense in parts. A bit slow at first, but then keeps you drawn in...I recommend it...good date movie...if you want to actually watch the movie...

Taken...

Wow, really...sometimes I feel, once you have seen a kidnapping, action adventure...you've seen them all...well...not this one...Liam Neeson did an amazing job...calm, cool, and collected...but means serious business...loved it. Great movie for any day of the week!

Off the Cuff...

A great mockumentary of the Chicago Improv Scene...I really wish I would know more about how it works or some experience...but even for those, like myself, who have a general knowledge of improv...you will love it...and have tigher stomach muscles from all the laughing as well as cringing (of course, from the ackward moments)...if you are looking for something new and cleaver...i highly recommend checking it out...

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button...

This movie intrigued me from the beginning...but didn't actually know what it was going to be about...however, "Hottie Pitt", as I like to refer to him as...was looking rather fine in this movie! A little slow at first, but a great perspective on the natural process of life and love...I would recommend it...stick with it...and yes, it did make me cry...I'm not going to lie.

He's Just Not That Into You...

A great cast...and never too much of one person...it reminded me a bit of Love Actually in some capacity...i'm sure everyone could relate to a character or situation at one point in there life or another...

Frost/Nixon...

I am going to be honest and say that I really don't know much about the details of the Watergate incident, but was intrigued by the movie. It kept you interested and loved the "Frost" character. Doesn't necessarily need to be watched in the theatre, but worth renting!

Nights in Rodanthe...

As a huge Nickolas Sparks fan, of course I would want to watch this...besides the fact it is a love story...however, I really didn't like it much. I didn't feel the characters had much development.

Confessions of a Shopaholic...

Super cute movie...even if you haven't read the book. Isla played the part well...a fun, entertaining movie to watch with friends!

Slumdog Millionaire...

First off, absolutely amazing movie...Second...absolutely amazing music. Loved it...probably my favorite of the year, and to start the year off that way...well, is rather odd, and all the other movies I watch...not sure they are going to compare. If you get a chance, definitely go see it! Rent it, watch it again...all of the above.

Marley and Me...

Now I am a huge dog lover...and knew what I was getting myself into when I went to this movie. Didn't read the book, and love Owen and Jennifer...however, I couldn't tell if the movie was about the dog or their lives. It was good, but I don't think that I will watch it again.
